My Story Two sisters wanted to help others remain engaged while regaining emotional and social footing after having suffered a loss. Amy and I were both educators. As such we understood the pastoral role inherent in teaching. Our mother Lillian, a native St Johnian had suffered with cancer and congestive heart failure. Inspite of her failing health our mother was and remained a caregiver. When she passed away Amy and I discussed how we might impliment her legacy of caregiving and support in our own lives. We began with an idea and a passion for helping. In loving memory to my sister, Amy L. Garrett, 1960-2017 and Lueben L. Davis, 1959 – 2022, my husband and better half. Love Christine
The purpose of A. L. Wellness Garden is to encourage people to engage and remain connected when being recluse might feel more enticing.
