A. L. Wellness Garden is a Virgin Islands nonprofit, corporation, governed primarily by like-minded volunteers. This website (ALWG) supports A. L. Wellness Garden in this endeavor. Because loss has several manifestations; loss of loved ones, health, friendships, independence, loss is a common experience for many of us.

Our Story

Two sisters wanted to help people remain engaged while regaining emotional and social footing after experiencing a loss. Amy and I were both educators. We understood the pastoral role that comes with teaching. Our mother Lillian, a native St Johnian suffered with cancer and congestive heart failure. Inspite of her failing health our mother remained a caregiver. When she passed away Amy and I discussed how we might pay-forward her spirit of caregiving through our lives. We began with an idea and a passion for helping.

In loving memory to my sister, Amy L. Garrett, 1960-2017 and Lueben L. Davis, 1959 – 2022, my husband and better half. Love Christine

The purpose of A. L. Wellness Garden is to encourage people to engage and remain connected when being recluse might feel more enticing.

Our Mission

Our mission is to promote and sustain well-being through health education, information literary and creative arts.
